Well it started to rain last night and when I awoke it was still raining and it was forecasted to rain all day. Of course rain days are good for museums and I wanted to see the Dali museum in Figueres about two hours north of Barcelona by train. Of course everyone else has the same plan B on rain days, the tickets availble were for 5:30 or later and I wasn’t about to get home at 9:00 or 10:00 tonight. Tormorrow I need to get up and be at Parc Güell by 8:30 in the morning. So I went back to bed had a late breakfast and waited for the weather to break just a little. Besides I needed a restful day and not rushing around in an effort to see as much as possible.
By mid afternoon it was a light mist but, consistent. I jumped on the metro to Plaça de Espanya and walked around a bit. Down the boulevard to Mountjuic and the magic fountain. Mountjuic is a hill that overlooks the city and the beaches. Not today, with the mist consistent it was hard to see anything. The paths in the parks in Europe are usually not paved but, made of crushed stone. After so much rain it does get a little muddy and on top of that hill the wind kick up off the Mediterranean.
Well the forecast know looks like clearing for tomorrow which is good becuase Parc Güell is outside. Forgive the few pixtures as it was hard to keep the camera from getting too wet.
