Historic Florence

After breakfast on the top floor with the sun rising over Florence I caught the shuttle into the old historic center of Florence.
First stop the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s David. Rather incredible as it is 17 feet tall.
After that, a stroll to see the Duomo but, being Sunday it was closed. On to the old palace at palazzo della Vecchio. After that the Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace but, decided to try the Giardino Bardini. The views looking back at historic old Florence were awesome.
A dinner at a side walk cafe and onto the shuttle back to the Hilton.
There were lot of people in Florence this week as they were having world championship bicycle races all week. These are many of the same riders that compete in the Tour d’ France.
Tomorrow Siena.
